A Dedication
Between the Lightning and the Thunder is dedicated with gratitude to Daniel Hoover, our former bass player who passed away in 2022, on the morning of his 53rd birthday. H00v3r and I formed this band together in 2017 and for those first few months, it was just the two of us, squeezing in 9am rehearsals in a small practice space in the Roxborough area of Philadelphia. He was an early champion of my songwriting and a staunch supporter of my artistic vision for the group, both of which meant a lot to me. It was H00v3r who brought in Dallas (his friend and bandmate in Thorazine) to play drums. And it was H00v3r who found Michael Stingle and brought him in on guitar. Thank you for helping get this wreck up and running. You are missed my friend. This one’s for you H00v3r.
Artwork Spotlight
Funhouse
This collage was created using images hand cut from vintage magazines that were then dry adhered to paper. The original is roughly 12 x 22 inches and was completed April 2024.
Flashback
Upon releasing our debut album, Come On Angels!, I put together this 30 second commercial for the record, a short parody of those old K-tel commercials that would pop up regularly in the early AM hours of late night 80s television. It still makes me chuckle when I watch it but for some unknown reason, it never really got the traction online I thought it deserved. We could all use a chuckle these days, so hopefully this clip will make you smile. Enjoy.
